SEMA trip

Well the FMR team is back home and recovered from a few days in Vegas at SEMA.  Some great contacts made and hopefully some progress can be made with putting P1 back together and some upgrades at the same time with the help of some new sponsors.

One great contact was Tom Paule from AEM electronics. We are considering a new ECU to add some power and flexibility over the current Series 1 Plug & Play EMS currently in the car.  Tom showed us the new Infinity-10 system we will hopefully get to use on the car.  It runs on a 200MHz 32 bit processor and includes 2 GB of 1 KHz internal datalogging memory.  This is possibly the most advanced EMS produced, more power and flexibility is an understatement.  With the upgrades in tuning and datalogging alone, 2012 should be a busy year.

Ken and Anthony talking to Tom about making more work for Brice and Cory

Ken also made some contacts with a few companies that will help rebuild the KA24DE-t Six-Million-Dollar Man style (you know, “better…stronger…faster”) Including Wiseco pistons and possibly rods from their sister company K1 Technologies, Rings from Total Seal, and Ferrea valves.  Ken’s been working with Alamo Autosports to get the parts lined up and sent off to Dent Sport Garage for the massive rebuild and upgrade.  More to come on the intake and exhaust as well as tire sponsors, those deals are still a work in progress.

Ken also met Vinnie DiMartino from American Chopper

SEMA Plans

Ken, Anthony, and Cory are heading to SEMA in Vegas to meet and greet others in the industry.  We’ll be looking into parts and sponsorships for P1, the Banshee, and even get the ball rolling on P2.  If you want to meet up to talk (or to take advantage of what Vegas has to offer) with us, send Ken an e-mail via the contacts page.

We’ll post news and pics here as it comes in.
